But here's the standout performance: Senior star Eva Hudson delivered a powerful display, racking up an incredible 25 kills against Auburn on Wednesday night. This victory wasn't just about Hudson, though; it was a team effort.
In a thrilling match, Kentucky took the first set 25-20 but faced a setback in the second, losing 25-18. The Wildcats bounced back with determination, securing the third set 25-22 and then cruising to victory in the fourth with a commanding 25-16 win.
Redshirt sophomore Brooke Bultema showcased her defensive prowess with seven blocks, while also contributing three kills and two digs. The team's blocking prowess was on full display with a total of 14 blocks. Meanwhile, junior Brooklyn DeLeye joined Hudson in the double-digit kills club with 19 of her own. Freshman Kassie O'Brien continued her impressive run with 48 assists, marking her fourth consecutive match with 40+ assists.
Coach Craig Skinner's squad is now comfortably at the top of the SEC standings, leaving Auburn with a 13-5 overall record and a 4-3 SEC record. The Wildcats' success has them poised to take on Florida on Oct. 19, followed by challenging away games against Mississippi State and Alabama later this month.
